Default Your Top 5

I must say that's a smashing good idea.

Off course its nearly impossible for me to limit myself to only 5 (I know that The Opening Gambit, The World Next Door and The Big Top are in there though, the other 2 are just difficult to choose)

I ran into another problem... the CDs I have at my disposal...

ONLY HAVE ROOM FOR 80 MINUTES OF CONTENT!!

Clearly no enough for more than 3 episodes. I'll have to invest in another pack of CDs if I want to share the Decoder Ring Theater goodness around me.

I guess now the classic course of action would be to ask everyone what is their top 5 pick off course so...go ahead.

not sure what the story is with you.
What exactly do you want to do?
Is that that you want to make cds of decoder ring theatre stuff for people who don't have means of downloading them.

Irish,

I think Undrave is responding to our "Who's In Your Five?" new listener drive that we've been running this month at DRT, in which I ask folks to do exactly that - pick their 5 all-time favorite episodes and send them on a disc to 5 people they think might enjoy the shows, making sure to let them know where to get more!

Fave Red Panda shows:

1. Secret Origins (I finally started to feel some sympathy for the Kit / Panda relationship. Before this, it felt kinda contrived and too "cutesy" for me. This made it work.)
2. When Darkness Falls (The introduction of Harry Kelley (sp?). What else needs to be said?)
3. The World Next Door (I should go on record as saying I did not believe a cross-over like this would work, even in Gregg's capable hands. But it was a real treat. I like "Remember where you were when you said that," and the sadness in Baboon's voice when he said "That's very 1934 of you.")
4. The Hidden Door (Just a delightful tale. That Red Panda is quite the clever guy.)
5. The Callaghan Mob (Power to the people!)

Fave Black Jack Justice shows:

1. No Justice (Best. Writing. Ever. 'Nuff said.)
2. Justice and the Happy Ending (I love the way this showed the wonderfully deep and complex (to my sensibilites anyway) relationship between Jack and Trixie.)
3. Mixed Blessings (I like Freddie's more central role in this. His narration, his sweet innocence.)
4. The Reunion (The main storyline was good enough, but Jack's lines at the end had a real emotional impact.)
5. Much Ado about Norman (I just like listening to Norman.)

Any shows I give to people, though, depend on who they are. The list may or may not be either of these 5s.

I have trouble sticking to just 5. I'd like five episodes to show as many aspect of the serie as possible. For exemple I'm thinking of Merlin's Tomb for all the magic stuff, and I'd want one to showcase the Red Panda's hypnotic abilities (either Rabbit Season, Devil's Due or, to since its multiple stories, Now the News) but I also think When Darkness Fall is great because of Harry and all the Agent stuff (which is important for World Next Door and Opening Gambit ). I like The Big Top because of its more emotionnal and dramatic side.

Yeah but the goal is to whet someone's apetite, not to overwhelm them XD

I'll get some data DVD for my own personal archive, but for this exercice a CD someone can pop in just about every CD player (though I guess I can't burn them as audio and have to grave them as mp3 data) would get the job done better.
