Default PMRP: "Tomes of Terror II" Continues On-line Run with LeFanu's "Carmilla"

Hi everyone!

Our 2007 live Halloween show, Tomes of Terror II, continues its run on The Post-Meridian RadioPod. PMRPod #2 features our production of J. Sheridan LeFanu's gothic chiller, Carmilla, from a script originally written for CBC's Nightfall series in 1981. Director Renée Johnson updated our version, by permission of the playwrights, with additional material from the original novella. Live musical accompaniment was arranged and performed by Jessica Raine of the MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players.

----------------------
From the website:

Carmilla - "An adaptation of J. Sheridan LeFanu's 1872 novella, written for CBC Radio's terrifying horror series Nightfall by Graham Pomeroy and John Douglas in 1981. In this story, inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, a young woman dreams of a friend her own age. But in the dark depths of the Black Forest, nothing is quite what it seems and she gets more than she ever wanted. A chilling tale of childish fantasy and lost innocence."
----------------------

Join our Host, The Librarian, as stories from the ancient groaning stacks of The Library present themselves for your listening pleasure (or terror, depending on your point-of-view!).

Recordings of PMRPod #2 are up on the new HOTU/PMRP website as both low-quality and Internet-quality MP3s @ http://www.huboftheuniverseproductions.com/rec_pmrpod02.html

----------------------
Tomes of Terror II will conclude next Friday, February 8th, on PMRPod #3, which features our final play of the evening, an adaptation of William Hope Hodgson's sea-bound thriller, The Stone Ship!

That's all for now!
