The man is in half of everything it seems. He has appeard in most of the productions by both Darker Projects and Pendant Audio and he has the Jodcast. Oh and did I mention he played Horatio Hornblower as well. There must be a twin brother or something. Either that or he does not sleep. Just saying. | | | 01-22-2008 | #2 | | Audiofile Gregg is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1,885 | Could be a robot. There's a lot of that going around. | | | 01-23-2008 | #3 | | Kung Fu Action Producer UltraRob is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: London, Ontario, Canada Posts: 837 | You don't know the half of it. He delivers those lines to his producers (such as myself) in just a few days, compared to most voice actors who take weeks. He's literally a voice acting machine. Oh, and one of the nicest guys I've never met. Rob | | | 01-23-2008 | #4 | | Lord of Misrule ClymAngus is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: London, England Posts: 114 | The man is a machine. One I hope to treat to a couple of beers next time he's around central London. | | | 01-23-2008 | #5 | | Audio explorer fthrll is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Currently in Oxford, UK Posts: 247 | | Quote: | | | | | Oh, and one of the nicest guys I've never met. | | | | | I have met... well, one of him, anyway... and can confirm that that one is most certainly quite an extraordinarily nice guy. Dunno about the other one, though... I just love doing audio drama, recording scripts from my linen cupboard upstairs and meeting up with people IRL! Fiona's great fun and we've spent many hours in Oxford enjoying hot chocolate and chatting about life and audio drama! Clym, I'm definitely up for that drink whenever you want it! But yeah, I started doing this two years ago, and I do it because I enjoy it. If anyone wants me to audition, just get in touch. I'd love to hear from you. | | | 01-29-2008 | #7 | | not an Audio Newbie audioaddict is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Arizona Posts: 44 | I can definitely agree with these assessments of David! He is also found doing voicework for Dream Realm, and he even jumped over to my political podcast and voiced a skit written for the show! Forget Kilroy 2.0- David Ault is everywhere! ~Dani PS- Clym and David... I will BE in London this summer... *nudge-nudge* | | | 01-29-2008 | #8 | | Colonial Radio Theatre Jerry Robbins is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Boston MA Posts: 278 | David is fantastic. He played a featured role in one of our FATHER BROWN episodes (which he hosts) called THE FLYING STARS. The rest of the cast was recorded here in Boston; and David in England. I was AMAZED when I heard the final edit. He sounded like he recorded here with us. His tone and mood matched our studio actors - he played a scene with the leading lady and the timing matched perfectly. You would swear they were on two mics playing off each other. Never seen the like before. David - don't let it go to your head, but you are VERY gifted. Don't change a thing, and don't ever take a lesson. You are a natural. Loved you in BYRON Can't wait to hear you as DR. WHO!! I'm a fan. ~JR | | | 01-30-2008 | #9 | | Jack of all trades David Ault is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: London, UK Posts: 6 | Hey Dani and Jeff, Thanks for the posts! Dani, I like your podcast and it was such a fun script to record that I couldn't say no to it! And Jeff, that I could fit in with the other characters is a tribute to the characterisation and the writing that it made it so easy to do! Also, if I don't take a lesson and listen to how others think I can improve, how will I ever get better, or adapt or change to take in more characters? I enjoy voice acting so much and to broaden my repertoire will involve change, learning and listening to others' feedback. Thanks for the comments though guys, I'm really flattered and I appreciate it. And yes Dani, let us know when you'll be here and we'll have a pub trip! | | | 01-30-2008 | #10 | | Voice Actor, Podcaster jeremiah mccoy is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Cary, NC Posts: 33 | David, Jokes aside, I like your work. Your one of our voice acting superstars in audiodramas. That said I am being said, I am leaning now towards Greg's theory of you being a robot. heh. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | | All times are GMT -5.
