Hi there,
Hope everyone is well.
I just wanted to let you all know about a new company I am producing for. They're called 3D Horror-Fi and produce binarual recordings of horror and science fiction.
It's all recorded binarually on location. This weekend we were in an old Cathederal in Norfolk - apparently where Anne Bolen was buried! - recording a spooky script based on the true story of Countess Erzebet Bartory 'The Blood Countess' - one of the biggest serial killers in history!).
The quality of the sound is so incredible for horror because it really gets into your head and the listener feels entirely like they're part of the action. The plays need to be listened to through headphones to get the full effect and there are all sorts of opportunities for future recordings. We have a nice library on there already, and are having a great time adding to it. There's some Poe on there, as well as other creepy productions.
"I Have just listened to The Cast of Amontilliado, late at night with earphones! Can I say I thought this was tremendous, a real quantum leap forward. I know my Poe and can't remember having ever heard a better audio adaptation of his work: your Montressor is a terrific actor and, of course, I was hugely impressed by the way the echoey church acoustic serves the drama." Marty Ross, Writer, BBC Radio & Big Finish (Doctor Who) I'd be thrilled if you'd all have a look and perhaps a listen and let me know what you think. There are some samples online and if you get in touch I can probably send you over a free version to listen to.
I am really excited about the company and how the recordings work!
All the best,
Mariele
