Talking John Williams did music for "Lost in Space" AND some POTA

Forgive me if this is old news for I am not an Irwin Allen expert. But they used this track and others from "Lost in Space" by Johnny Williams for the famed Edward G. Robinson Planet of the Apes <for the 1968 movie> makeup test:

YouTube- DIAMONDS by John Williams
Basically the first music ever used for POTA . Wouldn't it be groovy if Williams went full circle and scored "Rise of the Apes"? I know, it'll never happen. Your loved ones would be dead and forgotten for 20 centuries before he'd do it. 20 centuries! But still, now is the time to fantasize before the cold reality of the hack they hire is announced. >SIGH!<
I'll forgive you, Veetus, for mentioning something I've already mentioned.

Did you also know that Charles G. Clark, a veteran Fox cinematographer shot a couple "Lost in Space" episodes and several "Land of the Giants" and was an uncredited DP on PLANET, shooting the interior spaceship stuff that was actually the last stuff to be shot?

That's true! Also, the first season of LIS used a lot of music from THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (also a Fox production). Even today, studios may use music from other films on trailers (before the scores are completed) - if you see a trailer from CASPER, the music is from Nightmare Before Christmas (I think that's the picture, been years). The music the composers wrote in those days belonged to the studio, so music passages were often re-used.
Also a fun fact, the music for Errol Flynn's DODGE CITY was re-used a few years later for Flynn's SAN ANTONIO.
