Things are really in a whirlwind here - which is good! We continue with our summer recording schedule, heavier than usual, and getting the job done. We are very excited to announce a new series - VINCENT PRICE PRESENTS.

In celebration of his 100th birthday in 2011, we are producing this series with Bluewater Productions, based on their line of comics.

One of classic Hollywood's most famous scary men, Vincent Price made a name for himself in classic mysteries and thrillers throughout the 1940's, 50's and 60's. We will produce 30 half hour episodes. The series will feature audio dramatizations of some of Price's films as well as developing new frightening ones with his estate. Our first episode, THE TINGLERS, will record on August 4th as a Halloween Weekend Special Broadcast on Sirius/XM. Welcome back to the macabre world of Vincent Price!

We're looking forward to these. We are not planning on having a "Price sound alike" in the shows (In the comic series they have his likeness hosting the stories and taking part in some of them); instead, ours will be a tribute to him during his centennial year, with adaptations of some of his movies and stories his estate has authorized.

Are these going to be available at Hastings?
I saw I think Graphic Audio CDs for sale at a large truck stop chain of convenience stores while driving to Dallas a few weeks back by way of Crossplains TX. Didn't buy any as they are a bit too Audio Book-ish for my taste.

You know who does a pretty good Vincent Price impression? Michael McKean. This is the only YouTube vid I could find of it -- not the best example, unfortunately:

YouTube- CONAN O'BRIEN, 2/24/95 - MICHAEL MCKEAN

In the mid-eighties, he did it on Saturday Night Live and it rocked.
