Default A Picture of the Deadeye Kid?

With the picture of Fanshaw on the current story, I've been debating about posting a definitive picture of Lem.

I found a pic, recently, at a swap meet that struck me as being Lem, and that's what he looks like to me, now, but i don't know if people would rather see what I'm thinking, or keep their own ideals for him.

Funny thing is, he looks reasonably like the actor who plays Lem, even though the pic is clearly some hundred years old....

Personally, I think I will pass on the visual. My mind is active enough.

I love graphics that help depict the setting in evocative ways (Bingo's collages are doubleplus good, so are the little bits of cover art for Maudelayne), but I sometimes dislike it when a main character is directly depicted--especially when it completely clashes with my own image. I'd be really upset to see a picture of Jack Flanders, for example. I couldn't even bear to see a photo of whoever voices him. It's easier, however, if the picture is seen first and then you start listening and investing in a show with that in mind. But reversing that order messes me all up. That said, I've only listened to the first episode of Deadeye Kid so it wouldn't be terribly dissonant to see an image of any of the characters now.

Wow, that was a lot of disorganized thought; hope there was an answer in their somewhere.

Well, I already did Fanshaw, to try and alleiviate a certain amount of confusion, there.

I kinda though people might feel this way, though I might still draw a wanted poster or two, since those can be ignored as being notoriously inaccurate...

Ah-hah. OK, I see what you mean. Now, that picture helps! Oh, crap, I read too much of the blurb.

Don't worry - there's plenty still left mysterious.
It comes out slowly.
I've actually developed much back story for each of them now, and the next storyline, "Auld Lang Syne" explores some interesting tidbits in flashback...

Be warned, though - I do plan on dressing Spyder up as Lem for Steamcon this year, since we're attending in a semi-official capacity...

And thre will be pictures. Oh yes, there will be pictures....

and yes, this:

is what Fanshaw looks like. Deal with it. By the end of the year, I think it will all be sorted out.

Yes, I know the voice has confused a lot of people (Despite Fanshaw being referred to as "he" on numerous occasions) - but the first episode was not ever intended to turn into a series, and since it did, I haven't yet had the chance to fix everything. It's coming.
