Happytown = Wormwood

I watched a little of Happy Town (first episode). I honestly don't feel it's really a rip-off of Wormwood... any more than we're ripping off Twin Peaks, at any rate. There are still a million ways you can go with a small town supernatural mystery, so I think we're just drawing on similar influences.

And yes, it's not Wormwood without Sparrow and Jimmy Details. And from what I watched, even Sam Neill couldn't touch the awesomeness of Arthur Russell's Crowe. But then, I'm biased...

Finally getting a chance to watch an episode - and there's one very Dr. Xander line from Sam Neill (though not a Crow-ish delivery)
