So this is what you do instead of Star Trek. At first I did not like this show. Just did not have the same impact as Eric's Star Trek series have had. But after this I think I have to change that view. I see where you are going now. I liked this episode. Great cliff hanger at the end. I look forward to episode 6.

Is it a scifi epic? Seems more like a zombie story set in space.

I think you've answered your own question there..

Space = Sciency, Zombie = Fiction qed.

Epic, subjective probably but I think so, ymmv.

To me this is very much a sci-fi series......

Although I am not going to go into yet, there is more to the walking dead than meets the eye.......

I've hinted at what is behind all of this. And its growing. After all something wiped out all the life on the worlds the Art Bell is passing.....

But more on that as the story unfolds........

Well if you look at the first four episode. That was setting up what the series is about.

The next two are their first encounter with the Big Bad. Then next few after that are dealing with issues of trying to stay alive.
