Casting Call - ROTC Holiday '09 Special - Casting Call

We're happy to announce our latest casting call for ROTC's 2009 Holiday Special! It's titled "The League of Evil Botz"! We're looking to fill five roles for this one.


MALE ROLES AVAILABLE:


ROTTEN LEECHES - Anyone who was a fan of television in the 80s recalls a show called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Well, in this year's special we're spoofing that with a show called Lifestyles of the Incredibly Evil! The host is a bot named Rotten Leeches, who is a parody of Lifestyles' host Robin Leech. Basically, we're looking for someone who can give a fair, if exaggerated impersonation of Robin Leech for this one. See sample dialogue below.

Sample Dialogue:

ROTTEN LEECHES: <awed> The Dark Sphere. The most powerful and heavily fortified space station in the entire universe. A perfect sphere, three times the size of Jupiter, designed with only one purpose: to rain down death and destruction on every planet in the known galaxies. Armed with full-phase photon cannons, giant meson-lasers, thermo-nuclear warheads, and battalions of All Terrain Combat Kill-Botz, this is Evil on an unprecedented scale. In fact, were you to look up the word “evil” in a dictionary, you’d see a photo of The Dark Sphere. Above a photo of the mutilated remains of the photographer who took the photo of The Dark Sphere. <beat; then cheerful and upbeat> Hi, my name is Rotten Leeches, and welcome to “Lifestyles of the Incredibly Evil!”


MINION - Minion is a bot who simply lives to serve a master. They are created for this purpose, and little else. In this case, Minion serves as more of a personal assistant and butler to our main villian in "The League of Evil Botz". See sample dialogue below.

Sample Dialogue:

MINION: Doctor, sir... I really hate to be a bore, but we really should be going, ya know.

MINION: Note to self... decaff for the Doctor from now on. Yes, that would be a good idea.



EXPENDA-MINION - The Expenda-Minion is more or less the same as a minion bot, but completely expendable, and gifted with no more intelligence than would be found in a house fly. Basically, the Expenda-Minion is a blind and willing soldier willing to die at a single command.

Sample Dialogue:

EXPENDA-MINION: How may I be of service?

EXPENDA-MINION: I will happily give my life to serve the greater good, sir! <dies> Aarghhh!!


FEMALE ROLE AVAILABLE:


ANNIHILATION BOT - A mysterious bot with a mysterious past. On the surface, this female bot seems to be a mere cardboard cutout villain with little personality, but there are hidden layers to this fembot of mystery.

Sample Dialogue:

ANNIHILATOR BOT: I, Annihilator Bot, will deal with this problem!

ANNIHILATOR BOT: The vermin have been annihilated!


MALE OR FEMALE ROLE AVAILABLE:


ELEVATOR - A simple computerized service elevator built with a genuine people personality. Can be male or female. See sample dialogue below.


Sample Dialogue:

ELEVATOR: <cool/pleasant computer voice> Welcome aboard the Dark Sphere Elevator. Which floor do you desire?

ELEVATOR: Dark Sphere Thirteenth Floor: Top Secret Meeting Room. You have arrived at your destination. Enjoy your stay on this floor.
