| Would Tis the Season work as a summer release? | |

As long as you release it on or near the 25th of July, that being Christmas in July...

| I don't know about the "old school" Red Panda episodes, but if we do any we won't do more than one. Fight that out amongst yourselves and if someone comes up with something particularly poetic, I might be swayed. | |

Challenge Accepted. My vote remains in favour of Death From Above. It's a hillarious screwball comedy episode, complete with badly imitated French, Australian and Dutch accents, ridiculously awful puns, cheezy commercials, and a talking dog. It's also smack dab in the middle of World War II, as (I assume) Earth-Prime Red Panda will be when these are released. It'll be like some sort of crazy cliffs notes version of the season's events thrown in a blender with that dream I had after eating a peanut butter sandwich before bed.
And that's the way it should be. Remember Slick Bracer and the Giant Nap? To me, that did to Black Jack Justice what I hope the showcase version of Death From Above will do for Red Panda, more or less. That sentance was a lot less complicated before I wrote it, but I think you get the general drift of things... The summer showcase is a place to go nuts and laugh at ourselves, and I think redoing Death From Above would give the fans the opportunity to do just that.
Of course, the fans shouldn't have all the fun, which lends more weight to Death From Above. Out of all of the Earth-2 episodes, Death From Above contains the greatest variety of characters to work with, and have fun playing. As I said before, Death From Above contains a Frenchman, an Aussie, a Dane, and a Golden Retriever. It also contains a Nazi Android Pilot, an Innocent Canadian Scientist, a Domineering Spymaster, an Insane Prime Minister, and an Announcer. Oh, and a certain masked hero that I'm sure you wouldn't be interested in hearing about. (In all honesty, though, and with no offence to Gregg, it seems like the Red Panda would actually be the
least interesting character to play in this episode!) Plus, IIRC, there's some inarticulate German background shouting at some point that could be recorded and reused in the regular episodes. Waste not...
Furthermore, as was previously stated in the thread, not a lot of people know about the Earth-2 episodes. While they don't exactly add to the current storyline, I do think it's helpful to have heard the episodes at least once, and introducing people to them through this particular episode ought to get them interested, at least.
There's my two cents. Did it win anybody over?
