One of the big problems I have with animated shows is when they record actors in isolation.
I understand its necessary often times for what we do with Audio Drama, but there is (as Paul pointed out to the youtube video by Chatterbox) an energy that occurs with everyone involved which makes, in my opinion, a less artificial feel. Shannon pointed out that she can hear which actors were nowhere near others when they were recording, and it often hits me too when I'm watching animation.
I like the method that was done way back with Disney's Peter Pan, when the show was recorded as a play with the actors all involved.
Looks like that's happening again for the new Johnny Depp, Ilsa Fisher animated vehicle
