Post A Very Decoder Ring Christmas!

When the Decoder Ring Theatre Gang gets together to finally record that oft-requested crossover episode between The Red Panda Adventures and Black Jack Justice, there's only one thing that can stop Audio Drama history from being made - A Family Christmas Special breaking out! From all of us, to all of you, with best wishes for the Holiday Season, we present A Very Decoder Ring Christmas!

Default Thank you!

I do so love it when the new episode goes up before I leave work. Especially on days like this one, when I'm anticipating a 4-5 hour trip tomorrow to get the kiddo's busted glasses repaired.

I will probably wait until tomorrow's car trip to spring this on him... but I'm not sure I have the restraint. We love new content so much, and I do so love to see the excitement in his big blue eyes!

Maybe I'm too much of a dork, but is Scotty Moyle's robot a Mr. Butletron impression?

wow.. great episode.. Although Gregg does slip into a Jimmy Stewart impression about halfway through..

"Well gee, mister Potter..."

Classic holiday comedy..

I love the canned laughter joke.. off to listen again....

Good ear, James, I was totally channeling Butlertron... though it should be noted that Gregg does actually own an ancient robot (pictures, Gregg?) that I have coveted since the moment I saw the thing. I think it takes instructions on a cassette tape, and I'd be shocked if it didn't take instructions in BASIC. So for canonical DRT mega-continuity purposes, there is in fact a robot at Decoder Ring Actual.

Also, I really appreciate how the laugh track covers the fact that we're all constantly corpsing each other. Huzzah for the magic of radio!

Oh my.

Downloading now. I think, from the looks of things, this will more than make up for delaying Black Jack two weeks.

I heard Jack Benny. Judging from the Season One Spectacular, everyone was in more or less their real voices, except Gregg. I guess he doesn't get much of a chance to channel Jack Benny, and this was a good opportunity.

"All these years I've wasted ..."

This show was beyond awesome, and shows just how creative the whole troupe is. Just, wow.
