As for this episode, I really liked it.
It was mentioned here, and by RP himself; "Why wasn't I the first and only name on your call list?" That thought bothered me at first too. But, I realized two things:
- Men in love will do stupid/extreme things to protect the one they love.
- RP can be seen as inflexible. Right and Wrong are seen as Black and White and the mask and creed leave no room for shades of grey. Why would the RP interfere to save the daughter from finding out that her dad was 'dirty'. It's his job to expose just that sort of information.
Nope, Andy seems to have followed the only route he thought he could.
No supervillains, no mystic invaders from another dimension, no hostages in distress... yet, this is my favorite episode of this season. It just shows that nothing can trump good writing and good acting. Well done.
Final word. Pappy? I hope Kit comes up with something else. That could make for some uncomfortable scenes when she lets it slip in the middle of a battle against some villain.
