Or worse, a Browncoat. So are you going to edit it? I'm sure we'd all love to read it if you put it up in podiobook form. I also am a VA for Pendant Audio, BrokenSea Audio, TWERP, r5, Darker Projects, and hmm...well a whole bunch of others Last edited by Aibrean; 01-07-2008 at 12:47 PM.. | | | 01-06-2008 | #23 | | Crazy Cat Lady Ayeshalan is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Hillsboro, Oregon Posts: 52 | I did a partial intro in another thread, but I'll try to do a full one here. I'm Jamie Lawson, co-producer of "Afterhell," the post-apocalyptic, horror/dark fantasy anthology series from Ollin Productions. When I'm not helping out with Afterhell, I can often be found herding cats, playing with beads, or wondering why the heck I chose to support Fulham. I love listening to podcasts while at work -- makes the time at the day job just fly by! I also produce a non-fiction podcast, "It Was 20 Years Ago Today," which is a five-minute daily (that's my goal, anyway -- it's much more of an occasional show right now) show about history, culture and memory. Looking forward to building a fun, supportive community here. | | | 01-06-2008 | #24 | | Imagination Lane Audio alexachipman is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Petaluma, CA & Harlech, UK Posts: 1,748 | Who came up with the original After Hell idea, anyway out of curiosity? | | | 01-06-2008 | #25 | | Just this guy ya know. AtomicClockwork is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: St. Louis Posts: 321 | Hi I'm your friendly neighborhood Matt. I'm the obnoxious guy that you hear every week calling in. I do a show called the Doubledorkmeter Podcast, a show about geeks and geek culture. But mostly I complain... My New Years resolution is to get my audio dramas up and into the Pod-o-sphere. I've also adopted the philosophy that: You have to make your own opportunities. So for now I have unofficially launched AtomicClockwork Media as a Professional podcast producer or hire. If I make any money I'll make it legal and incorporate, I'll have to see if anyone bites at the proposals I'm sending out. So we will see. It's good to be among friends. __________________ www.drawsumthincool.com | | | | | | 01-07-2008 | #26 | | Head Bottle Washer Crash is offline Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida Posts: 643 | So I didn't do a full "who I am" really yet.. so I'll do it now. I am your host (your ghost host). I have done alot in my 30+ years I've worked on Circus', Carnivals, Disney World Cast member, been an Audio mixer , Mobile DJ, even Hung high steel. My current Job in customer service keeps me busy and in front of a computer all day so My MP3 player is pretty much loaded with Audio dramas, and Podcasts to keep me chipper. I have a wife and 4 year old son. and I'm a huge geek. I don't produce Audio Dramas, and I don't write them or act in them ( although I have thought about doing the last 2). I am Just a Massive Fan ( My top three right now Red Panda, Fire Fly Old Wounds, and Second Shift), but, my list is long and my nights late. These boards are still being configured ( since you don't see the flaws till you have folks around) so never fear, and there is more stuff coming. __________________ Marrcus "Crash" Beattie Geek | | | | | | | 01-07-2008 | #27 | | Cossmass Productions Paul Campbell is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Scotland Posts: 316 | Hi, I'm Paul Campbell. I'm the fool behind Cossmass Productions and our Audio Drama Estalvin's Legacy. I'd been listening to the various podcast novels and audio dramas since about March 2005 and began to formulate a plan. That plan eventually took a setting I'd been working on since the early 90's, completely rewrote it from the ground up and turned it into an Audio Drama. That became Estalvin's Legacy. Estalvin's Legacy is my first foray into working with any form of audio production. The year writing the first episode, and five months of recording and post production to release that episode represent a mad scramble of a climb up a learning curve. I don't think for a moment that I'm anywhere near the top of that climb, six months later and two, almost three, episodes later. (Yes episode four is almost ready) Estalvin's Legacy is an epic SF mystery adventure (with a very definite ending planned) taking place in several parallel realities. Several story lines are all revolving around a central crisis, whose true terrifying scope is known to only a few individuals in all of the realities. Yes, I went for an epic serial in my first time out the gate. I believe I did mention the word 'fool' earlier on. Seriously, I'm having a lot of fun doing this. I can't imagine what I'd be doing with my time now if I wasn't doing this. __________________ Science Fiction Audio Drama and Audio Books from Cossmass Productions - http://cossmass.co.uk/ | | | | 01-07-2008 | #28 | | Audio explorer fthrll is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Currently in Oxford, UK Posts: 247 | | Quote: | | | | | Isn't there a national editing month of some sort? | | | | | There is indeed, Alexa! Nanoedmo... in March, so it's good timing! Erm, hi there. I'm Fiona Thraille and I spend my spare time working with several production teams in different areas, too. I do audio mixing on Wonder Woman, Champion of Themyscira for Pendant productions. I also va for Kung Fu Action Theatre, Pendant, Broken Sea, r5 Central and have done a little bit with Darker Projects and Lady from Day, too. In normal life I teach English as a Foreign Language (which I love) to pay the bills (which I don't love quite so much) and try to get down to some writing when I can. I'm a huge fan of Audio Drama and listen to as much of it as possible, so a forum like this'll be great for keeping up with what's going on & what people are producing. Nice to meet you all! | | | 01-07-2008 | #29 | | Creating Audio Since 1971 Wesley is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 213 | Hi all, Wesley from Planet Retcon and Volcanicast here. Planet Retcon's my love, but Volcanicast is the show that's actually getting done these days. | | | 01-07-2008 | #30 | | Audiofile laura is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Exeter, UK Posts: 248 | Hi everyone, I'm Laura Unlike most of you I'm not involved with producing any audio dramas, I'm just a fan! I also write a blog (audiodramablog.blogspot.com) about my explorations in the audio drama world (both podcast and radio). I'd love to be involved with an audio drama, but am rather doubtful about my writing/acting skills - one day when I've got more time I'll have a go! Outside the audio drama world I'm a scientist working in the US, but am moving back to Britain (I'm originally from there) in April for a new job. Hence my life seems to be getting increasingly complicated...
