Well, if you put in for the Mark Time/Ogle Awards, and you didn't receive an email this morning (4/25/08) saying 'Sorry, try again,' Congratulations! You probably won.

I got such an email, and I'm taking the morning off to pout. Congrats to all the winners, and post here soon! I can't wait to listen to all the winning shows.

We got an email last night, and it wasn't of the "Sorry, try again" kind. But they said we're not supposed to announce to the public until June, so I'll try to keep it quiet.

I'm sure sorry you didn't get anything this year, Jeff -- you deserved to! At least they sent out "Sorry, try again" emails this year. They didn't, last year. We had to find out we'd not made the cut by hearing from the folks who did.

When will the awards be given away this year? I may be in Minnesota this summer and I thought it might be fun to go.

I'll get round to it eventually. As soon as I actually have some content that isn't copyright jubious, littered with swearing or fart gags. Unless of course they have a catagory for that kind of thing in which case...... nifty.

Then I must have been in top form last night during rehearsal when I inserted a fart sound when the cast weren't expecting it

mwa ha ha ha ha ha.

(thank goodness I didn't surprise them tonight during the opening as the actors totally lost their place in the script... except for the one female in our cast who was not amused)

They'll be held at CONvergence, a sci fi convention held in Bloomington every summer. A great party. Dates are July 3-6, with the Mark Time Awards part of the Opening Ceremonies around 5pm on the 3rd. Great Northern Audio does a live radio show before the awards every year that's a lot of fun. Last year it featured David Ossman (Firesign Theater) and Wally Wingert. Tremendous event, I highly recommend it.
