Ok, not so much a speculation as much as a "wouldn't it be totally awesome if..." thought:

'Marie', the voodoo priestess, has been working all this time to bring The Stranger back...

It would be cool if right when things are looking darkest for our heroes they get an unexpected visit from the Stranger.

We held a mock talk show in class about the existence of magic, and so a friend of mine became "Marie". No one else got it, but it was still funny to watch her avoiding her actual name: "That would be telling..."

I agree with you however, wouldn't it then almost become "The Adventures of The Stranger"? at least in function if not in form?

It could if done wrong. He shouldn't be a deus ex machina, but he has a very strong supporting role. That's why I'd love to see Marie make a return appearance. I always loved her anyway. I think she'd fit in well with the Flying Squirrel, Anna C., The Captain, and the Grey Fox.

ETA: I'd also love to hear from Ma Baxter again. She's a tough bird in her own right

Oh, I'd love to hear that! She's the only one (besides Kit) that can reduce Gus into a supplicant little puppy.

True.. good one.. although the two of them together would be a bit different in balance than out titanic two-some. He appears all over the magick bit, and while she is much more physically oriented, she has some psychic components as well.
