Is it my birthday? Because that's the only way I could explain having two of my favorite things, superheroes and the Wild West, shoved together in such a jaw-droppingly awesome manner!

Seriously though, this was fantastic. Unlike Kit, I love time travel.

And just as a note, the scene between the Flying Squirrel and Dr. C was really touching. He can't recall his own name, but he remembers how she takes her tea...so sweet.

Nazis and Cowboys and Pandas, Oh My! Thanks for this everything but the kitchen sink romp. Tons o' fun. Gregg, I know you've been wanting to do some Western-themed stuff for ages, and you finally got your chance. Just a shame I couldn't see The Big Guy and the Squirrel on horseback except in my mind's eye.

Great piece! There even was a Blaze Bing 'cameo'! How awesome is that? At first I thaught the guy with the ray gun was Tom Tomorow, having been thrown into the past when trying to skip back to his time during his suicide mission. Alas... but Dr. C is pretty nice too.

I agree the Sheriff was a nice character, nicely played too (Rob Westgate?)

I agree with Zap. The Doctor said so in... I forgot which episode (The Gathering Storm?) that 'I will still remember how you take your tea when you come to visit at the old mad scientist home' and he's right... I find it touching that he had trouble distinguishing the Flying Squirrel and his daughter, it says a lot about how much he care about both of them.

So... who's to say Von Schlitz doesn't have other schemes like that going on?! Next time a trip to protect Excalibur from falling into Nazi hands? Or that stone that supposedly makes anyone who sit on it kind of Scotland??

They should have sent McWhatsisname with a bomb!

I can honestly say that I did not expect that.

Not even a little bit.

A dotty older mad scientists gets in trouble with outlaws in the old West and his young friends come back in time to save him.

Dr C: I don't see any horses attached to the carriage.

RP: Horses? We're we're going we don't need... horses.

I do appreciate you not pounding on any of the cliches. Except for the hero in a showdown at high noon, with the outlaw. Or the middle of the night I suppose.

Bittersweet is the story of Dr C and FS. We met Dr C's daughter too late to appreciate the dynamic between the two of them; but we got handed a big slice of it with the one conversation.

I have a feeling we'll see Billy the Kid again. Nothing like a time-shifted villain; though usually they come from the future.

Kudos!

If I may offer one small bit of advice that is given only out of love...

Burley, for the love of all that is good and holy, SLOW DOWN when you're doing western or southern, honey.

Poor Dr. C., seems that Dementia is about to get him.

Oh, this was wonderful! And I didn't even think of Tom Tomorrow!

I was so thinking of JLU's 'Once and Future Thing' and, of course, of:

And:

You're not thinking fourth dimensionally - once you hit 88 miles an hour, those Indians won't even be there!

Also:

Doc Chronopolis: [mildly dotty] In the future, we don't need horses. We have motorized carriages called automobiles.
[Barflies laugh]
Barfly 3: If everybody's got one of these auto-whats-its, does anybody walk or run any more?
Doc Chronopolis: Of course we run, but for recreation. For fun.
Barfly 3: Run for fun? What the hell kind of fun is that?
