I've looked everywhere for sites that have these. I am on a very tight budget and I can't afford any CD music or royalty music, so I need a free site. I looked up Freeplaymusic.com but from what I can tell the site went down. | | | 11-14-2011 | #2 | | Barbarian in need of Ale Bill Hollweg is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Texas Posts: 11,055 | http://incompetech.com/ Is a great place to start Also Podsafe Audio and Jamendo http://www.jamendo.com/en/ Internet Archive also has music here and there as well. On Jamendo, each album is released under different Creative Commons options, so some are only available for download, while others are free to use - and each is marked on the album's page. And there is just about ANY kind of music you might need, there, if you search long enough... if you need classical music, check "A-M classical" or "musopen" - both are royalty free sites. (each will pop up in a search easily enough) __________________ --Julie Hoverson 19 Nocturne Boulevard ...and the Deadeye Kid ......and Fatal Girl .........and Tone Didactic ............and Bingo the Birthday Clown | | | 11-14-2011 | #4 | | Administrator hudson is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Nr Cambridge, UK Posts: 740 | | | | 11-14-2011 | #5 | | 1-Woman Butt-Kicking Army JulieH is offline Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 3,516 | Yes - I just used his work in Loup Noir, even! __________________ --Julie Hoverson 19 Nocturne Boulevard ...and the Deadeye Kid ......and Fatal Girl .........and Tone Didactic ............and Bingo the Birthday Clown | | | 12-22-2011 | #6 | | Skilled Actor ZacksQuest is offline Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Ohio, U.S.A Posts: 184 | Umm, I once again need to find music. Specifically a short sting for surprise transitions. | | | 12-22-2011 | #7 | | Barbarian in need of Ale Bill Hollweg is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Texas Posts: 11,055 | http://incompetech.com/ Is a great place to start Also Podsafe Audio and Jamendo http://www.jamendo.com/en/ Internet Archive also has music here and there as well. You'll have to get creative on the music editing -which is fun too (clipping bits that work for your scene> -unless you find a musician who wants to compose. Also good links above in previous threads Hope that helps ;-) | | | 12-22-2011 | #8 | | 1-Woman Butt-Kicking Army JulieH is offline Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 3,516 | This link should take you to Kevin's "sting" music on incompetech. __________________ --Julie Hoverson 19 Nocturne Boulevard ...and the Deadeye Kid ......and Fatal Girl .........and Tone Didactic ............and Bingo the Birthday Clown | | | 12-22-2011 | #9 | | Barbarian in need of Ale Bill Hollweg is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Texas Posts: 11,055 | You make things so simple Julie-LOL Good link and groovy help! | | | 02-03-2012 | #10 | | The Pulp Reader Shonokin is offline Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 530 | Not only good for audio productions, but video too. I did a soundtrack arrangement to a silent Japanese film using Incompetech. He liked it enough to post it at his website! And though his stuff is free to use, I did donate $5. It's the least I could do for how much his music turned something interesting into something really entertaining. You check check out the viddy here.
