In 2006 I became involved with a show called
Second Shift. Since then our little show has gathered listeners all over the world, been nominated for awards, and has been a wild, fantastic ride.
Sadly, with just three episodes left in our story, we're approaching a year since our last release. The reason for this is simply that I don't have the time to do production nowadays. Up until now, everyone who has worked on Second Shift has been a volunteer, myself included. At this point, I am willing to spend some money to save this show.
I am now taking bids from experienced engineers for completing the remaining two episodes (one of the final three is almost done). Applicants will be given access to a script and our source audio files, which can be used to get a sense for what will be involved. Based on that, the applicant will submit a bid describing how much it would take, in time and money, for them to produce each episode. Based on qualifications and bid, we'll choose someone and the rest is in their hands. The remaining episodes are very talk-heavy and SFX-light except for a couple of (very) big scenes, so I think an experienced producer should actually not have much trouble with the material.
Applicants MUST have audio theater experience. We've tried outsourcing before and have found that knowing audio engineering and knowing how to do post-production on audio theater are two very different things. Prior familiarity with Second Shift is also a major plus. You and the show/site of your choice will, of course, be featured prominently in the credits.
