The list of parts available are as follows:
Narrator: (Any Age, Any Voice)
1.) Once upon a time, about a century ago there was a story in New Hampshire that cause much speculation and rumor about an heiress in a town called Bedford and the Sleeping Mansion that she inhabited.
2.) The day of the debut was at hand and many extravagant measures had been taken to flaunt the Wharton’s wealth.
3.) Then the hypnotist changes from a laughing man to a woman in dark unworldly clothes. On that note the party guests quickly filed out of the house.
Mr. Wharton: (Late 40’s Early 50’s. New England accent preferred but not required).
1.) Let’s see, we have the golden rattles and pram. She has been blessed by a catholic priest, a protestant minister, and a rabbi. Did we forget anything?
2.) Anything for my precious Rose. We will get you a hypnotist and all the best food. You look simply starved.
3.) Humph, How rude! You can not simply barge into people’s houses and break doors down.
Mrs. Wharton: (Early to mid 40’s, New England accent preferred but not required).
1.) No no, she must return home before she is sixteen. We will have a debutant party in her honor and hopefully several prospective husbands for her.
2.) Oh, my darling Rosie is so beautiful. Just gorgeous. Now sweetheart we need to get you into some appropriate attire.
3.) They are just intimidated by how lovely you are darling. No worries.
Rosie: (16, self centered and flighty)

2.) We live in the middle of No. Weare.
3.) Oh shove it. I’ll talk to who I please and fetch what I please.
Flora: (Fairy- mature)
1.) May she be as radiant at the flower she is named for and her wit as sharp as the rose’s thorns.
2.) Really Maleficent, black to a shower? Do you ever wear another color?
3.) Agreed. People in this time are so strange.
Fauna (Fairy – mature)
1.) Let her be as graceful as can be with the musical ability to make the birds sing.
2.) Come on dear, we need to hurry, there are only three days until your debut. You have a lot of training to do to make you suitable for “society”.
3.) Because Rosie will be hypnotized and seeing her make a fool of herself is probably worth all the torture she put us through.
Meriwether (Fairy – mature and sarcastic)
1.) Never fear, little one. You shall not die should her curse come to pass. Instead you shall sleep for 100 years or until a noble young man free you with a kiss
2.) Intelligence (beat) What? (beat) Oh don’t look at me that way, you were both thinking it too.
3.) You always forgot about me, and this time it cost you. She is in a deep sleep and in 100 years, she will wake. And by then you and I will be dead and gone.
Maleficent (Evil Fairy)
1.) Dear little child, you shall indeed be fair and graceful for all of your life. A life that will end before you are a woman, for when you come of age you shall prick your finger on a spinning wheel… and die.
2.) Now then, relax. Feel yourself fall into a deep deep sleep. And when I count to 3 and snap my fingers you will be under my subliminal control. 1, 2, 3, (snap).
3.) HAHAHAHAHAHA! You are too late now sisters. The spell has been cast and my revenge is complete! The little brat is de… What? WHAT?! How is she not dead!
John Prince (18-19 College student,)
1.) Huh, so this is the “sleepy mansion”. Doesn’t look that bad. Well I have my camera and cell for proof that I was here
2.) K, supposedly there’s a chick in here. I wonder if it’s just a bunch of, whoa.
3.) Bitch! That is not worth being in a frat.
