Talking Podcast Ruminations

Hello Everyone,

I've often considered starting a Schlock Audio Theatre podcast. What do you guys think would be interesting to hear in such a podcast?

These are just random thoughts I've had, in no particular order of appearance or importance.

++Occasionally interviewing an actor or director in the world o' schlock.

++Doing a downloadable "commentary" on my favorite Schlock movies that would include trivia as well as my own rants and raves about whatever strikes me.

++Schlocking an entire serial like "RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON" or "THE PHANTOM CREEPS" and releasing it in 3 or 5 minute minisodes across multiple podcasts.

++Scraping the idea altogether and harping about someone elses lackluster podcast. (Joking! )

Ideas, suggestions?

Ooooh, that's dangerous territory... and I'm pretty sure it's not in any chapter of the "How to Win Friends and Influence People" handbook...

So glad you're joking...

Hey Charles! Good to see you here!

I think all of your ideas for a podcast (the serious ones, anyway ) sound great. Mix 'n' match! One advantage is that you'd be less likely to run short of material for an ongoing series -- production time and your energy level notwithstanding.

More Schlock. Any way I can get it.

But a podcast is good because then I don't have to look for new episodes. I can just update all my subscriptions together. I'm lazy that way.

As long as your sense of humour is there, I'm happy.

Yes please!

Could the main productions be added to the feed for that podcast. It's so much more convenient to get and store them that way.

Also, I'm sure you find all the schlocky inspiration you ever need, but a friend of mine runs the movie site Cosmic Hex. PM me if you see something there you might want to use for a schlock production.
