Voice type: Kind of high pitched, prepubescent boy voice. Very empathetic little boy. (can be played by male or female)
Audition lines:
Line 1: Uncle Steve's gonna get better, Mom. I know he is.
Line 2: [excited] The show I missed the other night because we were stuck in traffic. Boy, did I want to see this one! I wished and wished for it. (A PAUSE) I'll see you soon. I have to go see what happens to Captain Koala!

Butch
Age: 40s.
Voice type: Gangster. Not too bright.
Line 1: Kidnapping is what we done. The sooner we turn the kid over to the boss and beat it up into Maine with our pay, the better I'll like it.
Line 2: Maybe you shouldn't have done that, Frankie?

Frankie
Age: 40s.
Voice type: Gangster. Not too bright, but brighter than Butch.
Line 1: That's why we grabbed the kid when we did. What's wrong, Butch? You sound nervous.
Line 2: Why, it was all over the news! Didn't you hear?

Officer [bit part]
Voice type: Any
Line 1: We've got pictures of Nicky and everything we need, Mrs. Prescott. I'll put out an APB on him right away.
Line 2: I hope so, ma'am. (A PAUSE) We'll find him.

Mr. (David) Harker
Age: Mid 60s.
Voice type: Gravelly voice. Sad
Line 1: You hit the boy, Frankie?
Line 2: How I intend to get what I want from Nicky is my affair. It's none of your concern.

Man [bit part]:
Bio: Delivery guy
Voice type: Any
Line 1: Sign here please, ma'am. (A PAUSE AS SHE SIGNS) Thank you. Have a good day.

FEMALES:

Emily Prescott
Age: Late 30s.
Voice type: Any, motherly, gentle.
Line 1: That's very nice you did that, Nicky, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Your uncle is a very sick man. The doctors don't know if he will get better.
Line 2: Why is that, honey?

Kristin O'Dell [bit part]
Age: Late 20s.
Bio: Female TV reporter
Voice type: Any. Bubbly.
Line 1: So how do you do it, Nicky?
Line 2: And so, for News 8, this is Kristin O'Dell in Sandown, New Hampshire.
