. I know there's a lot of pulp fans on these boards so I thought this would be safe to mention here.
The publisher Nostalgic Ventures has been publishing The Shadow and Doc Savage pulp stories, recreating the original magazines, publishing the original covers and illustrations inside. They come with two complete novels, recreated to look like they were when originally published.
I found a slew of them (if a slew means 11 or so separate titles, but multiple copies of each title) at my local Half Price Books store. And they're selling them for $5.98 (U.S.) which (true to the company's name) is half the list price.
They are new, which means that other locations may have gotten them also. So if you know you live near one, like you folks in Texas (where the company is from) check it out.
