So far, I LOVE it! Very interesting that you started in the middle of the story and can't wait to hear how you get the rest of it together!

The way I look at it, most of what came before the introduction of Armitage is backstory, since he's the hero. Doesn't make it irrelevant, far from it, but means this is REALLY the beginning of the action.

Don't worry - I cram as much of the backstory back in as I can.

And now I have Innsmouth haunting my brain. Came up with a super creepy way to present it.

Oh no. I know that so well. My male cat put me 2004 in hospital for 4 weeks and 3 surgical operation.

I particularly love the way a Yankee accent keeps slipping into Armitage's voice, just a little here and there. It gives the impression of a man who's tried to get away from his roots, only to have them show in times of stress. It's like he's got an iron will, but even that's cracking under this particular strain. Just a little, so far.

I was very lucky to find a really good voice for Armitage - thanx much to Fred Greenhalgh at Radio Drama Revival for helping me!

Everybody is sounding great! I've been mixing townsfolk fro episode 2, and we had some rough patches recording that - the accent is HARD to hold, even in a group.
