I for one would like to be able to go back and look at how close or how far from the truth I got - this is what this thread will be for. One quick rule: If you know something for *sure*, you are not allowed to talk about it here. That's a spoiler. This thread is for guesswork, informed or otherwise. In other words: Gregg, Scotty, not a peep out of you two! CAVEAT: The cast are allowed to provide both cheap laughs and historical/background info. Gregg and Scotty have provided examples of both, although spoiler tags are encouraged if it gets into iffy territory. No actual spoilers are allowed. Meanwhile, .. our heroes NOT dead.. but quite incommoded and still trying to accomplish their mission.. I think at some point Doc Rocket will reveal the identity of his upper class soldier to the NAZI's only to find they've known it for some time.. Meanwhile.. the secrets of the towers is slowly revealed having something to do with Nazi death magic, .. another attempt to summon an old time favorite.. The Destroyer.. and having nothing to do with that there might even be some visionary projection from the astral plane from The Stranger.. I can also see Dr. Anna Chronopolis getting more "into" cybernetics and robotic creations till she builds the armored power suite mentioned from the FIRST series.. and then she snapps... perhaps she is even FROM that domain of reality itself and she shouldn't even be here? __________________ "Between subtle shading and the absence of light lies the nuance of illusion." - Deciphered text from the CIA's Kryptos by James Sanborn. My search has been fruitless... Does anyone remember the thread where Gregg talked about the winners of the Radio Supervillain contest? We still haven't gotten that episode, and I have a feeling it's going to be a doozy. Of RP's personal rogue's gallery, a good two-thirds have gone missing, and I can only imagine what gruesome experiments the Ratzis are getting up to with them. Bits and pieces of them, at least. Suicide Squad, anybody? | | | | | | 05-16-2011 | #4 | | Audiofile Undrave is offline Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Quebec, Canada Posts: 1,303 | Okay let'S do this bullet point style: -The Red Panda and Wentworth survived. -The Red Panda and Wentworth James meet up with Andy Parker, Tank and Ace (Mac and the rest are dead or captured, they don't know) who have integrated with a resistance cell. The three agents are let in on the secret because they all recognize August Fenwick -The Red Panda and his gang become the 'second front', causing tons of trouble to the Nazis front behind the line. Including discovering the secret of the black towers. They also face the supervillains from the contest. -The towers have something to do with the Destroyer and are a variation of what VonSlick wanted to do on Earth-2! -The Captain is promoted to The Major and by order of the Prime Minister himself puts together a secret 'Panda Division' being runned out of the chronopolis vault at the museum. This Panda Division is completely off the books to avoid a repeat of what happened with the Home Team. -John Doe takes over the role of August Fenwick and the Red Panda to keep up the front, possibly Weston is let in on it to help the masquerade. -The Grey Fox is called in to help since Kit is out of commision for 9 months. -It will take multiple episodes before the Red Panda can contact Canada. He may elect to stay longer than necessary to help with the resistance. -Nightshade now has creepy men seducing power that helps her take control of many influencial men, this makes the women of "Panda Division" and their mechanical pal an excellent defense against her. They may have Jackrabbit's help at one point. -Other super villains are reformed and brought into the war effort one way or another. Simon Radford ends up sent to occupied France to assist the Red Panda, he's there just in time to heroically sacrifice himself to prevent Nazi germany from deploying a fleet of Captain Clockwork -designed 'Otto Pilot' androids. -Brian McSweeny, man of a thousand faces, secret Australian agent, now on loan to British Intelligence, ends up meeting up with the Red Panda and together they foil the 'Operation Eternal Flame' experiment. -Captain Sunlight's death is mentionned in passing at some point. -Harry Kelly becomes more and more important and is trained by Kit and others during Kit's pregnancy. -Grim possibility of Wentworth James being killed in an horrific experiment by Von Schlitz. and, while related not affecting the current season: -The Red Pand and Wentworth James reconnect and becomes better friend as a result, resulting in their families keeping close ties for multiple generation. The Red Squirrel's flying suit incorporate design element from the James Rocket Pack and the Zack she works with is actually Zackary James, descendant of Wentworth James. | | | | 05-16-2011 | #5 | | Audio Journeyman L.AlanG is offline Join Date: May 2008 Location: Tallahassee, FL Posts: 129 | If RP did liberate the prisoners in the Diepp operation, wouldn't it be interesting if one of those soldiers was Pvt. Jack Justice. Not really expecting it to happen. As I said before, I'm usually wrong. | | | 05-16-2011 | #6 | | Panda-Maniac ElvenBookwyrm is offline Join Date: May 2008 Location: Toronto, ON Posts: 455 | | Quote: | | | | | Brian McSweeny, man of a thousand faces, secret Australian agent, now on loan to British Intelligence, ends up meeting up with the Red Panda and together they foil the 'Operation Eternal Flame' experiment. | | | | | I don't think it will go quite that route, but I'm seriously hoping for a return of McSweeny in a more central role. He was one of my favourite parts of Earth-2, not just because of the banter, but because of the deep friendship with RP. There really isn't another relationship like that in this universe - even with Kit it's different. Anyway, my desires aside, I still hope he comes back. He's good at the banter. | | | 06-10-2011 | #7 | | Mysterious! unterhund is offline Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 389 | | Quote: | | | | | -John Doe takes over the role of August Fenwick and the Red Panda to keep up the front, possibly Weston is let in on it to help the masquerade. | | | | | Having just re-listened to "Girls' Night Out," I must agree. There's a tip-off to this in the opening phone conversation, especially after considering the same conversation's allusion to Colonel Fitzroy. And adding in subsequent events . . . | | | 05-17-2011 | #8 | | Audiofile franollie is offline Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Philadelphia-ish Posts: 192 | A wild speculation from my husband: Red Panda does not know he is Red Panda. With a new baby, can both parents really be risking their lives each week? Kit will be out of action for years because of this. The fact the Earth II Flying Squirrel from the WWII era was a boy (as mentioned by McSweeny) pretty much confirms it. The only fly in that whole ointment seems to be that Gregg recently mentioned that this whole thing is really Kit's story. If true, then Kit can't be out of action that long. Although she could still be working the Girl Reporter angle while raising the kid, since it's not as dangerous.
